How to edit content

Edit content from a page

To edit content, follow these steps:

  • make sure you're logged in
  • navigate to the page where you want to edit content
  • click on the pencil icon in the control menu on the top of the screen.

At this point the page should be in 'Content editing' mode. Here we can split the methods of content management in 2 parts

1. Content that can be edited directly on the page

Notice that some content has a thin purple border, and other content hasn't. The content that is directly editable on the page does not have a purple border. To edit this type of content:

  • Click once on the content you want to change. This will add a blue border around the content.
  • Click again, and you will be able to change the text.
  • When finished, just click somewhere outside the blue border.
  • If nothing else on the page needs to be changed, you can click on the 'Publish' button in the top right corner.

2. Content inside an article

As mentioned before, this type of content is surrounded by a thin purple border. To edit this type of content:

  • Click once on the content you want to change. This will add a slightly darker purple border.
  • In the right pane, in the field 'Article', you will see which article is linked to this fragment.
  • Normally there is already an article in place for each content-item.
  • To open this article, you click on the 3 dots next to the article name, and choose 'Edit article'.
  • This will bring you to a rich text editor, where you can change the content.
PLEASE NOTE: perhaps there is some markup used like bullets, a numbered list, etc... If so, please don't change the chosen markup, only the content.
  • When you're done, click on the 'Publish' button in the top right corner.
  • You will be brought back to the page, where your changes will be visible.
  • If nothing else on the page needs to be changed, you can click on the 'Publish' button in the top right corner.

Edit content from the control panel

The previously mentioned 'Content inside an article' can also be changed by going to the control panel. To do so, follow these steps

  • Make sure the left pane with black background is visible. If not, click on the toggle-icon in the top bar next to the page name.
  • In the left pane, click on 'Content' and next on 'Article'.
  • Next you will land on a folder view where al articles are stored.
  • All necessary articles are located in the folder 'Content', so open this folder.
  • All next levels of folders are logically grouped and should have meaningfull names, to make content management easy.
  • To edit an article, just click on the name.
  • When you're done editing,┬á, click on the 'Publish' button in the top right corner.

Edit a link

In some fragments, you have the possibility to configure a link:

  • When clicking on an item with a link, you can cofigure the settings in the right pane.
  • In the first tab, you configure the name of the link, e.i. the name that is shown on the page.
  • In the second tab you have these options:
    • link:
      • URL: when you want add a url that is not part of the current site
      • Page: link to a page from this current site
      • Mapped URL: not used in the current setup.
    • Depending on your previous choice, you will have the option to add a URL or a Page.
    • Open in a new tab: check this option to open the link in a new browser-tab.

  • When you want to link to a certain place on a page, you first need to add an Anchor name on this page. To know how this is done, please read the KB article Fragment: Anchor name (PVGR).
  • To create a link to this Anchor name, you need to select URL and enter the url to the page, followed with a # and then the created Anchor name.

Some articles can only be edited from the control panel

  • Footer articles: These are located in the folder >Content >footer
