Template: Hero banner
This template is used to add a hero banner to a page that automatically loads the correct image, based on brand and image-role.
For page-designers
Add a paragraph directly to the page, without the use of a section or any other type of container, as the banner needs to be displayed full-width.
To create a Hero-banner article:
- Use the template 'Hero banner'.
- Select an image-type, this will display the correct and branded image from the image library.
- Add the title and subtitle.
!!! In both title and subtitle you can also use the variable {{brandname}} to display the brandname that corresponds with the hostname !!! - PRIMARY and SECONDARY CTA.
The PRIMARY CTA is required, the SECONDARY CTA is optional. For both CTA's the same fields are available:- Button label: is the text that will be displayed on the button.
- Link to page: this can be used if you want to link to another page within the site.
- External link: this can be used if you want to link to an external page.
- !!! Here you can also use the variable {{brandname}} to make a link to an external page dynamic.
E.g. https://offer.{{brandname}}-insurance.be will become https://offer.skoda-insurance.be on the skoda site. - From the two fields (Link to page and External link) you should only fill in one, depending on where you want your link to direct to.
- !!! Here you can also use the variable {{brandname}} to make a link to an external page dynamic.
For content-editors
Most of the setup is already in place for Hero banners and done by a page-designer. However all fields described above are available and can be edited by a content-editor.
