Content for the VDFIN-websites can contain a brandname (e.g. Skoda, Seat, ...).
To avoid having to create this type of content as many times as there are brands, a template with the name 'Content with brandname' is created.

This template allows content editors to only create one article, which will dynamically and automatically be updated with the brand detected in the hostname.

For page-designers AND content-editors

For this to work, you will always have to create an article. To get to know the basics on creating and editing articles, please read How to edit content.

Create the article

• Go to the folder where you want to create an article.
• Click on the +-sign in the top-right corner and select 'Content with brandname'
• Give a meaningfull title to the article and start adding your content to 'content'-field.
• Two variables are available:
  • {{brandname}} will display the full commercial brandname with spaces where applicable.
    E.g. Skoda, My Way, Audi Approved Plus, ...
  • {{brand}} will display the brandname without capitals and without spaces.
    E.g. skoda, myway, audiapprovedplus...
• Wherever in your content you want to add the brandname, you can use one of the aforementioned variables. E.g. for Skoda and Audi Approved Plus:
   
  • Why choose for {{brandname}}-insurance will be displayed as:
    Why choose for Skoda-insurance or Why choose for Audi Approved Plus-insurance
     
  • You can send an email to info@{{brand}}-insurance.be will be displayed as
    You can send an email to info@skoda-insurance.be or You can send an email to info@audiapprovedplus-insurance.be
     
• Save the article.

Link the article to a fragment on a page

• Go to the page where you want to edit the content and click on the pencil-icon to enter 'Content Editing' mode.
• Select the fragment where you want your article to be displayed.
• In the right pane, select the article you just created. To get to know how this can be done, please read How to edit content .
• Once the article is selected, you have to select which field should be used (this is also done in the right pane).
  By clicking on the field option, several choices are available. Choose Content with brandname.
• You should already see that the brandname is displayed.
  REMARK: when you are editing content, no particular car-brand is available. In that case VDFIN will be used as brandname.
